"I've currently got guests from the UK. Visiting and was wanting to show them the sites of Brisbane without walking around in the sun. I've previously been on the Kookaburra queen before and really enjoyed it, the food previously was a hot and cold buffet. Yesterday we had a wonderful 3 course meal with full waitress service, the food was absolutely outstanding, we also had a wonderful gentleman explaining Brisbane's history and up and coming buildings. I've lived in Brisbane for 11 years and learnt a lot yesterday. I was very interested in one particular building and the gentleman kindly wrote down the buildings name and address for me. "The whole experience was excellent. The ticket office staff could not have been more helpful, and had everything ready and waiting for us as per our booking. The very first staff member we met when boarding the Kookaburra Queen was polite and friendly and the rest of the crew were just as wonderful. We both enjoyed the meal and my dietary needs were met with a minimum of fuss. The scenery was great and the cruise was value added by the excellent commentary. "We were a group of 20 and went on a Jazz Lunch Cruise with the Kookaburra on Sunday 13 December 2015. All of us had a fabulous time and there was not a single complaint by any of the group. We were especially impressed with the excellent food - taste, size and presentation. Again: not a single complaint - praise only for the first course and all mains. The winners in the desserts were the Christmas Pudding and the Cream Caramel. The dining area was set up beautifully with the black tablecloths and white napkins and even though we were seated close to the band, there was no need to 'scream' to be heard. The music was lovely… All in all a super nice experience for everyone! A couple of group members had been on a previous excursion with the Kookaburra and found this trip and the food much improved.
